Delete account and request data
This page explains how to delete your user account for the app TraceWorld (provider: Krummel Innovation) and its associated data, or request a copy of your stored data.
Option 1: Delete directly in the app
You can delete your account yourself at any time:
- Open TraceWorld and sign in.
- Go to Settings (via the profile / avatar menu).
- Scroll to the “Delete account” section.
- Tap “Delete account”, type the word LÖSCHEN to confirm, and confirm.
Your account and its associated personal data are then deleted immediately and permanently. The process cannot be undone.
Option 2: Delete by email
Alternatively, you can request deletion of your account and data by email. Write to us from the email address of your account at: <mail/>. After reviewing your request, we will delete your account and its associated data.
Request your data (access and data copy)
You can request information about the data stored about you and a copy of that data at any time (Art. 15 GDPR). Send us a request from the email address of your account at: <mail/>. After verifying your identity, we will provide the stored data in a common, machine-readable format. There is no charge for processing.
Which data is deleted?
Deleting the account removes in particular:
- account data and profile (e.g. first name, last name, nickname, email address, date of birth, profile picture/avatar)
- game progress and statistics (e.g. completed tours, points, level, badges)
- social connections (e.g. friendships, group memberships)
- sign-in and authentication data of your account
Content you have published (e.g. tours you created) is deleted or separated from your account and anonymised, so it can no longer be linked to you.
Retention and deadlines
After deletion, your personal data is generally removed immediately and permanently. Individual data may be kept beyond that only for as long as legally required (e.g. due to tax or commercial retention obligations). Such data is blocked from further use and deleted once the respective legal deadline has passed.
Anonymised or aggregated data that cannot be traced back to you may be retained without a time limit.
You can find more information on how we handle your data in our privacy policy. If you have questions, reach us at <mail/>.
